The first time I ever pulled into port, somewhere between my rack and the sail (the visible part of a submarine that sticks up), I decided I would try and put myself up there as often as possible to capture my experiences on film. Since I spent so much time away far from home, I wanted to be able to make that experience real for my loved ones back home. That was the first conscious decision I ever made to always be the guy with a camera (turned off at the appropriate times of course). Looking back to high school and summer camp, I was always the guy with a camera, and it has since become somewhat of a hobby. Let’s see what I can see…
